Well after about 12-15 months of planning, we are off on another journey from
home to Uluru.
Some friends, Daz and Bec, invited us along on this trip, with another four families, Simon & Monique, Theo & Lara, Kez and Mick, but due to circumstances, there is on three families heading west, being Daz & Bec, Nat & Paul and ourselves. There are six adults with 9 children ranging in age from 6 to 13 years. We will miss the others, but there will be more epic trips in the future.
The tentative itinerary is
Innaminka and down the Strzelecki Track to
Cameron Corner
Lyndhurst
Maree
Lake Eyre
William Creek
Cobber Pedy
The Break Aways
Painted Desert
Oodnadatta
Follow the Ghan Railway
Chambers Pilla
Alice Springs
Uluru
Kings Canyon
Alice Springs
Plenty Highway
Birdsville
Home
All in 5 weeks.
Three big stops are Coober Pedy for 2 nights, Uluru for 4 nights and Kings Canyon for 3 nights. Every other stop will be as the wind blows us.
In the mean time, we had to upgraded the old Blue GU to a newer White GU. I dont think it would have made the trip.
We head off tomorrow morning at 4am, meeting Daz & Bec, with Paul & Nat at Dalby, before heading further west.
Here is the new fourby with the lifestyle Camper Trailer attached.
